The CAVEvis solution aim to provide a 3D visualization to understand complex vector and scalar field to analyse simulation of severe thunderstorms and tornados. The data generated from the simulation consist in the wind velocity, temperature, pressure, water density, and vorticity.
Using a wand user can select the speed of the simulation, including pausing it or going backward in time. Moreover, using can instantiate an emitter tool from a 3D menu and position it in the virtual world to inject particle in the visualization. Colors of those particles will depend on the scalar field value at the particle location and trajectories will be influenced by the wind velocity vector field.
