The Cosmic Explore allows cosmologists to explore the results of their numerical simulation, which simulates galaxy formation in the universe starting from early age, shortly after the big bang, up until current time, in virtual environment using a Binocular Omnidirectional Orientation Monitor (BOOM). To ease the understanding, date of birth of galaxies are represented with a color gradient.
Moreover, cosmologists can select a subsection of the volume by performing a series of hand gesture using datagloves. To do so, a slice upon the three mains coordinate can be selected on the resulted volume will be scaled up to fill the whole virtual world.
