Particle Flurries, which is a way to represent computional fluids dynamics data by showing short curved line following the pathline of the flow, has been used inside a CAVE. To provide additionnal information, color could be used to encode the pressure or velocity of the air flow.
Moreover, the user has access to a system of “sponge” to interact with the visualization. There is three different color sponge that can be placed inside the 3D volume. The white one is a particle emitter, the red sponge filter out any particle going through it, and the blue sponge filter out any particle that are on a pathline that does not go through the sponge.
