This immersive analytics system helps engineers to visualize the result of flow field simulation for automobile using a responsive workbench. Streamline are used to represent the trajectory of the particle during the simulation allowing a direct visualization of the flow field. Moreover, the flow field magnitude is displayed through sound involving an additional sense.
For the interaction, a virtual tool metaphor is used where each interaction is activated by grabbing one of those tools with the wand. For instance, user may grab a magnifying glass and then moving up and down the tool with their hand will scale up or down the visualization, or selecting the transparency tool allow to change the transparency of an object by rotating his hand while virtually touching the object with the tool.
